ViziLite Plus®
Oral cancer claims the lives of thousands of Americans every year, causing more deaths than Hodgkin’s disease, cervical cancer, and skin cancer. As a dentist, oral cancer is of big concern to Dr. James and he makes patient screenings a priority.
Early detection of oral cancer provides patients with the best chance for a successful recovery. That is why our practice employs the use of ViziLite Plus®, an FDA-approved technology that screens patients for oral cancer. With the ViziLite Plus® standard of care, we are able to offer our patients the most thorough oral cancer examination possible.
A pain-free and non-invasive technology, ViziLite Plus® allows Dr. James to detect, evaluate, and monitor areas of concern in their beginning stages. The ability to see suspicious areas with ViziLite Plus® means Dr. James can diagnose oral cancer before the condition progresses to more serious and possibly life-threatening stages.
We offer ViziLite Plus® oral cancer screenings to all patients at every check-up. For more information about ViziLite Plus®, contact our office for a brochure.

DIAGNOdent® Laser Cavity Detection
This procedure is a powerful, new laser we use at our office for early detection and diagnosis of tooth decay. The DIAGNOdent® also makes it easier to find decay that may be hidden in the cracks and crevices of your teeth. Early detection of decay can help us prescribe a treatment such as crowns or dental veneers that can be performed at our office. Early treatment can mean less damage, pain, and hassle for you down the road. Please contact our practice today to learn more about this procedure.

VITA Easyshade®
For patients receiving dental veneers, we use the VITA Easyshade® computer color matching system to get the correct tooth shade every time! We use the system at our practice to match the shade of your dental veneers, porcelain crowns, dentures, partials, or dental implants, to your complexion and existing teeth. We think you'll find that this system is a great way to get natural looking results.

Digital Intraoral Cameras
This procedure is a revolutionary diagnostic dental tool we use at our practice to identify potential problems using a camera small enough to photograph the inside of your mouth. The images of your mouth are then displayed on a computer screen, allowing you to see what the dentist sees! This procedure saves time and makes problems easily visible to both patient and doctor. Patients can view the areas we will be working on, which helps to clarify diagnoses and recommended treatments such as dental veneers. Contact our practice for more information.

Digital X-Rays
Our practice uses the most advanced digital dental X-rays to take pictures of your teeth. While the risk of radiation damage from normal X-rays is already small, digital X-rays limit exposure by 90 percent, enhancing your safety significantly. To take a digital X-ray of your teeth, we insert a tiny camera into your mouth. The X-rays are then instantly transmitted to a computer screen, where the doctor will review them with you. You can see any problems for yourself while reviewing your treatment options, such as fillings or dental veneers. Digital X-rays help you to be more informed about your own dental health.
