Dr. James Erlandson began his career over 22 years ago. A respected dentist, he has made Woodbury his home as well as his place of business, residing here in town with his wife, daughter, and son.

He graduated from the University of Minnesota Dental School in 1981. In 1993, he returned to school for a four-month course on dental implants. Dr. Erlandson returned to the University of Minnesota in the fall of 1998 to complete 120 hours of training in all aspects of esthetic dentistry, spending approximately 60 hours on hands-on training. In 2002, he completed level-three esthetic dentistry training with an emphasis on esthetic removable partial dentures, occlusion and function in esthetic dentistry, and endodontic esthetics. His extensive training allows him to practice as both a general dentist and cosmetic dentist.

One of the demands of being a dentist, is continuing education to stay abreast of the latest technological advances. Dr. Erlandson completes approximately 40 hours of continuing education per year in all phases of dentistry, with an emphasis in cosmetic dentistry, implants, and periodontics. He recently completed coursework on new implant technology. He also attends the annual American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry meeting to stay current on the latest advancements.
